Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University (referred to as Nanfang Hospital) is a large-scale, comprehensive, tertiary-level hospital located at No. 1838, Guangzhou Avenue North, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, founded in 1941, formerly known as the Third Division Rear Hospital of the New Fourth Army. The hospital is the First Affiliated Hospital and the First Clinical Medical School of Southern Medical University, undertaking the tasks of clinical medical treatment, medical education, medical research and preventive health care. The hospital covers an area of 203,000 square meters, with a building area of 458,000 square meters, 2,225 authorized beds, an annual outpatient volume of over 1,475,100, a total annual hospitalization of 101,200, and an annual surgical volume of 56,900 units.
