Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital is a large-scale comprehensive public hospital jointly established and managed by Tsinghua University and the Beijing Municipal Government. Located in the Tiantongyuan area of Beijing's Changping District, it has a total planned capacity of 1,500 beds, with 1,000 beds operational in its first phase. Officially opened on November 28, 2014, the hospital received generous donations and assistance from Formosa Plastics Group and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan during its construction and operation. Drawing on the management model of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, the hospital has established a modern hospital management system and operational framework. It implements a president-responsible system under the leadership of the Party Committee, with specialized medical teams and professional administrative teams collaborating to enhance management efficiency and effectiveness.
The hospital houses multiple clinical and medical technology departments, comprising seven major medical divisions and over 50 clinical and medical technology specialties. It provides integrated Chinese and Western medicine services and operates several training bases. Guided by the core principles of “Precision Medicine, Lean Service, Lean Management,” the hospital is dedicated to building a modern healthcare service system.
