Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (abbreviated as SYSU Third Hospital) is a time-honored, comprehensive tertiary-level Grade A hospital affiliated with Sun Yat-sen University and directly administered by the National Health Commission. The hospital was established in 1971 under the original name of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences Third Affiliated Hospital. In 2001, following the merger of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences with Sun Yat-sen University, it was renamed to its current name. The hospital is located at No. 600 Tianhe Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, and has received numerous honors, including National Baby-Friendly Hospital, Guangdong Province Civilized Hospital, and National Advanced Unit for Hospital Cultural Construction.
