History
The predecessor of East China Hospital can be traced back to Hong'en Hospital, which was established in 1921. in 1951, Hong'en Hospital was officially renamed as East China Hospital, which became an important medical institution established after the founding of New China. in 1987, East China Hospital became a teaching hospital of Shanghai Medical University, and was rated as a Grade 3A hospital in 1994. in 2006, the hospital officially became an affiliated hospital of Fudan University. After decades of development, East China Hospital has gradually developed from a cadre healthcare hospital to a comprehensive hospital facing the whole country and serving the whole world.
